I found this Forum in 12/07, enjoyed the content and registered in. Many debates as to why our sport is struggling but this one hit me this AM as I am up too early for a day of work.

1636 registered users.

That is all?

7924 members are in a Forum that pertains to my favorite hobby, SOM games.

And now I have to watch the "team" aspect of the PBA which is farce.

Sorry but I laugh my ass off when I hear the team names.

I guess the arenas are packed for their home games. Do the Styles? Bowl at Barclay's?

This is far from a brilliant idea to save this sport.

The mods do a great job here of keeping out the riff raff. Keith invited a lot of people from the PBA boards, but was very selective. If you were a member there you know how bad the trolls were. You couldn't have a normal conversation like we do here. Everyone here is pretty respectful of one another. Plus with the social media explosion forums have almost become obsolete. For this board to be still going strong and have the amount of traffic it does is a feat within itself.

I hope when the Donald get to be President he gets rid of social media.  It has ruined more relationships than anything.

You didn't like riggs, fish or Gates?

bowl.com and pba.com shut down their forums because they didn't like being criticized.

The SOM Forum I do refer to has the open subject threads and one member did mention that one of his old sports fixtures was the PBA followed by WW of Sports on Saturdays.

My Grandma passed in 1987 and Saturday afternoon we were glued to the PBT and that was the only event we would watch together.

How many millions tuned in during the heyday?

as long as this forum is active, I will keep it open.  I've enjoyed all the interaction and friendships made as a result of this!
