I've never really caught any of the Weber Cups on tv. The only one I recall seeing is the one where Belmo or Palermaa shot 300 a year or two ago, or some other European telecast. Anyways, have any of you guys seemed to catch it on tv, I get it on Fox Sports South.

I saw the Palermaa/Mika (forgot how to spell his last name) Weber/Jones doubles and European vs America Team event. I think Pete's age is really getting to him, not that much has really changed, but his roll on the ball has changed and I don't care what anyone says. It looks as if he's dropping his thumb early in the down swing and pretty much "spinning" the ball, like if his timing was off. At least he made his own ball choice.

I've been watching the weber cup shows on MSG. The US team is taking a beating from Europe. Great shows, some good action. You have got to see the match where barnes has the lead, he throws a shot out the window(3 on the right) in the 8th, come to find in replay his switch-grip thumb slug broke and the slug is on his thumb after he released the ball. Man that guy is a Black Cloud. I agree about Pete Weber, he is reminds me of the Superbowl halftime shows , just painful to watch.

The whole event is shown live here in the UK from the first game right through to the finish on a Sunday night. It has a few critics about the commentary and why only one lane but it is rare to get our sport on the box here so I say just enjoy it for what it is.
Seeing the likes of Pete Weber and the other famous names actually bowling together here is unique. Although PDW got a few shots a little off target he was still good to look at. I hope he enjoyed himself enough to make a return visit.

I think its a great format, a fresh look at the game from a different perspective. I also like seeing the European players matched against the US players. It is good for the game , helps to grow the sport.

I enjoy watching team bowling, just a bit more than professional bowling. Be it Doubles to Baker 5 man, it's interesting.

By the Way, in the NC/SC/GA Allstars I bowled in, we bowl a baker format for 6 games. I enjoyed that.
