For me I practice the KISS acronym as in Keep It Simple Stupid.  Most slumps are something very small that is leading to very big problems.  So when I practice I make sure to do two things... 1)turn off the scoring machine... it's not about score it's about working on something and 2)work on one thing and one thing only... if it's footwork practice footwork.. if its hand and release just work on that... dont worry about if you dont throw a strike, reset the pins and shoot again... remember you're not supposed to care about score right now you're working on fixing what you're having problems with.  something else that helps me ... for the first game just go to the foul line and practice releasing from there, do that for a game or two before you start doing a regular approach..... that way you're not thinking about two things at once.  little things like this help me when i start to slump.  remember it's all muscle memory and you need to not overthink.  hope this helps.

For my slumps, I really don't do anything different.  I just bowl out of it.

When I have a slump, I usually try to get extra practice in to work on things.

Usually when I fall into a slump I just take a month off and forget about it, sometimes time away is the best option, that's my opinion though.

Pretty much thats what I do as well. Usually after a week or two I see what I'm doing wrong and adjust it.

I go out to practice and videotape (or should I say record...we don't use tapes anymore) myself.   Then I watch the video to see if I can spot any bad habits I've gotten into.  It's helped me on more than one occasion.

If I'm in a slump I usually try to figure out why by comparing to my good weeks.   My recent 540-570 series slumps were because of missed spares.  Pick up the spares, I'm in better shape and more around the 205 - 215 average bowler I am.

Plus I always enjoy the KISS method too!

I like the KISS meathod - Just A general question, post your technique and you may help someone else. - I addition, am not saying that I am in a slump - I have had some confusion on this - I am refering to a general post and some input on how you handle them - Because we all get them - So I reiterate -
A general question is how do you handle slumps?

I believe that we all know that slumps are inevitable in this sport. They're more than likely going to happen. When I experience one, I try not to get overly concerned. I'll try to get out on the practice lane, and at least make sure that my fundamentals are sound, that my tempo is nice and even, And i'm not getting in too big a hurry. To me, nice even rhythm equates to fewer timing problems. If I'm convinced that everything is fairly sound there, then I'll do what I can to be sure that I'm reading the lanes properly. After that I'll just stick it out and bowl my way out of it.....................hopefully .
