For $6, I bought a mini tripod that I can attach my phone to and take some video, such as this:

if I thought I could throw that many strikes in a row I might buy a phone and a tripod.  It looked like a ball commercial.

For a few buck more you could buy pants so we wouldn't have to see those legs! [rofl][rofl][rofl][rofl] [rofl][rofl]

Niiice!   I suppose a tripod shouldn't cost much to mount a camera as small and light as a cell phone!   Even so......$6 is next to nothing! ...and an excellent buy!

I wear shorts all year when I bowl!   The only time I've worn slacks is bowling in a tourney that required them.   My wife sometimes used to give me grief about this in the winter.   She'd ask me....."why are you wearing shorts in the winter?"

My answer..........."You do understand we bowl indoors in a heated, climate controlled environment, right?"

I wear pants when I bowl. Even in Michigan's 90 degree - 90% humidity summers. I never bowl in shorts. To each his own I say.

Is a practice shot when you change balls and accidentally bowl on the wrong alley?  [biggrin]

I thought so...until I did it once too often, and the director of a tournament association told me "No more!!"

I've already got a few tripods in different sizes.  What I needed was an attachment so it could hold my iPhone 6+ since I recently sold my video camera in anticipation of getting the new iPhone 6S+, which shoots 4K video (which will be super cool to use on bowling videos, as I can digitally zoom in on the pins in post-production without losing much, if any, resolution).  Get ready come early 2016 for a flood of new bowling videos from yours truly when I get the new phone.

Anyway, this should do the trick as far as attaching the oversize phone to a tripod:  http://www.mefoto.com/products/sidekick360plus.aspx

The same company also make cool, fairly lightweight (if somewhat expensive) tripods specifically geared to cellphone cameras:  http://www.mefoto.com/products/help-me-choose

Last time I recorded any video of me bowling, I propped my cell phone up on a chair. [tongue]  I got sick of moving it around and hoping it wouldn't fall after four shots.  At least I made four good shots. [biggrin]
