They are having a lot of trouble over there because there's no moderators at all.  It's becoming a place where there's personal attacks, player impersonations, etc.  It's infested with members who are disrespectful of others, etc.

I promise this will never happen at this board.

It's my goal to make this the premier bowling talk message board out there.

Spread the word about this board to others, if you haven't already done so.

Let's keep a good thing going!

You definitely have my support Keith! I've never posted there, but from what you say I'm glad I haven't.

PBA boards fail, because they don't have an "enforcer"...

I would say be careful who you tell about this board. The last thing we want to see here is to have jocko, whistler et al appear over here. That will keep Keith working overtime to keep it clean.

By the way, I just sent the PBA a "not so nice" email this morning about the message boards. I also used the "report post" button quite frequently as I scanned the boards. It will be interesting to see if it has any impact.

This one good thing here, that apparently the pba.com site doesn't have (or may not use) is ip banning.  We had a poster here named mrtvman, who a few months ago, started to get out of control.  I banned his ip address, and we havn't heard from him again.  that feature works, and it works good.  So even if jocko, or someone liked him showed up here causing nonsense, he would ultimately be banned, and even if he wanted to create a new member name, he couldn't, as his ip address would be the same, and thus it would be blocked.

Don't assume that an IP ban is a panacea. If these guys are using home broadband connections, they're getting a dynamic IP address. All they'd have to do is restart their routers to get a new IP. If you want to block them effectively, you have block their whole subnet (which may block somebody else living nearby who wants to join the board).

Yeah he hasn't been making too much noise recently. He's blocked from commenting on my videos as well.

When you're the enforcer of the boards, you gotta have a tough avatar
