What do you do on off-season when the league end?

The last two summers I bowled in a pba league.  Not this year.  all it did was mess up my timing and in an effort to score on it I had to change everything that worked for me.  This summer I might practice a little but not on pba patterns.

I usually bowl a PBA league but there is no money that I can win back. It's all individual..with jackpots included every week..it's just too much money to blow every week with almost nothing in return. I will bowl half of a summer league after my class that I'm taking ends

My wife told me more schooling is a waste of time since I already know everything..

We changed the shot every week and you needed too much equipment and time to do anything with it.  It is just too late for me to relearn everything over again.

I'm going to bowl in an adult-child summer league this year with my son.  Last time I bowled during the summer?  1985!  Should be fun...the manager of the fine independent center we'll be bowling at managed the center where I bowled as a kid.  Great guy...saw him last week.  He's seems happy to have me bowling at his place, and is looking forward to seeing (in his words) "the next generation" bowl too.

Have fun with you son, but remember to be patient.

I'll also bowl in a adult/junior league on Wednesdays this summer. It's a good way to keep some basic timing, while enjoying a nice laid back league with the kids.

This sounds really good. There's some summer leagues around town....but I haven't bowled in the summer in many years. I will get some practice in from time to time, though.

Oh, I'll be plenty patient.  But if he doesn't shoot 200s, I'll cut off his allowance!

I can remember when I was 8 and I bowled with my father against a buddy of his and his son.  He was very competitive, and when I screwed up, he got pissed, and I started to cry.  I was only averaging 112 at the time.  He apologized later, but fathers out there, never get mad at your kids, they're doing the best they can!

I only wish my father was still around, I would arrange for a rematch 36 years later, and we would kick their ass!  LOL!

I just practice once in a while, I've pretty much switched over to summer leagues.

I bowled in a league last summer which happened to be my first adult mens league that I ever bowled in because I had not bowled in league for about 10 years since I was a youth.

This summer I plan on taking off and just practicing here and there. I am bowling in the post office tournament up in Grand Rapids at the end of this month but after that it will be just practice til fall leagues are back.

I'm bowling 2 summer leagues. I just can't seem to stay away from the bowling alley.

My off-season is practice before bowl in Vegas. After Vegas, I take a break from bowling and practice more golf in summer season.
