The team was bowled on a 38' pattern, and the doubles/singles on a 42' pattern. Disappointing results, will be going to Reno next year with the same team, I can only hope for better!!! 😉

They actually revealed the pattern info already? Sounds like you described the patterns used in the 2018 event in Syracuse

When will you be in Reno? If I am healthy enough, I hope to go. It will be my fifth trip to the Biggest Little City in America. I last went there in 2016.

Patterns were released this morning. Keith is on the money. 38' and 42'. Fire oil on both. Very flat as usual.

This year was my 5th. I shot a 1601 that I am very ok with considering I hadn't thrown a ball in over a year prior. Based on my 175 average there, I'm in the standard division, and will probably cash a little bit in All-Events and I actually did very well in brackets with series of 549, 527, and 525. Already planning our trip to Reno 2020.

I was supposed to bowl last month but I tore the cartilage in my left knee badly. Since I already booked the flight through a third party provider long before I injured myself, I could not get a refund. I instead did the next best thing which is be a spectator. I got to meet a lot of people and had pictures taken with them. As far as the pattern info, where was the info posted? I went to bowl.com/openchamp and there was no information about the patterns used. The 1601 will get you money in all events. My best 9 game total to date was 10 years ago in Las Vegas [my first] 1606. My lifetime average at Nationals for 63 games is a measly 167. When will you be going to Reno? I first need to recover from knee surgery and finish the rehab before I can sign up for any future bowling related excursions.

The National Bowling Stadium is hosting the USBC Open Championships in 2020. You have plenty of time. Word has it that the stadium is currently being renovated. If I am healthy to compete after knee surgery, it will be my 5th trip to Reno, Nevada.

Was that the year you pinched your finger at baggage claim and had to have your grips redone? When I was running to the downstairs lanes and you yelled "JP!" and I almost fell down the escalator?
I can't remember if that's what happened, all I know for sure is I bowled the BJ on the same squad as Mike Shady and Jeff Richgels
