Oh hell..........
I bowled in three leagues last year.  MON, WED, and THUR. My Thursday team was a bunch of flunkies that thankfully disbanded.

My plan for this year:
Drop WED with an option to sub and find a new team on Thursdays.  Subs are permanently fixed to each team on MON & THUR so it made sense to drop Wednesday because I can just show up and sub for any team that night.

Thursday is a full house 24 team league, and there wasn't a single spot open! Most teams had all 8 roster spots filled.  I wasn't interested in subbing though.....I needed a team to be 1 short of 5.   I thought sure that at least 1 team would arrive a player short of 5, but it didn't happen..LOL

Since I quit my Wednesday league, I may not even be able to bowl that day either......sheesh.   I thought I had it all figured out, but it didn't work out so well.  At least I still have a great group of guys to bowl with on mondays! LOL....... My WED team was fun too.  Oh well..

Hey, I'd drink to the good news. I'm part of a ragtag team on Wednesday.  I think we're going to have fun as a group.  We bowled a bit together after our league meeting.  You never know until you start bowling! [wink]

I found a new team on WED........ so I guess things worked out.   I liked the people I bowled with in last years WED league.   Me showing up looking for a new team after quit the team was a bit awkward because I did enjoy their company.  I told them what happened, and they understand.   My plans didn't work out, but I got re-situated.

My plans have blown up, too.  I'm still sidelined with this ankle/foot injury.  Haven't bowled in a month, and am not sure when I'll be able to bowl again.

Hi Bowlers,  I'm a new member - its Sunday morning at a time of day when I usually practice.  Wrist pain is sidelining me today.

Recently discovered that my span was too long.  Shortened it by about 3/8 inch.  New span is great - can feel the pads of my fingers on the front of the inserts for the first time.  Now, better control, more revs, clean release without dropping the ball.

Since the span was so comfortable, I stopped using a wrist brace.  Scores were improving and the games was getting easy.  However, after tuesdays league night, soreness began.  After thursdays practice run, soreness again.

Now taking a break with rest.  Getting ready for Tuesday night but, will go back to the brace.  Its not easy to get sidelined, but better days ahead.

Its nice to meet you guys, fellow bowling allies.

I've been sidelined for about six weeks so far with ligament damage to my right ankle.  It's better, but it's not there yet.  Being on injured reserve sucks.

Sorry to hear Randy...

My knee is slightly tweaked and it's affecting me some on the lanes.  I did it playing golf....the funny thing is it doesn't bother me when playing golf, but I can really feel it when releasing the bowling ball.   I am considering "hanging up" the golf shoes for the rest of the year to get my knee right.
