I'm sure Mookie Betts is widely accepted among the fellow PBA bowlers, but I have to wonder if there is any sort of jealousy out there of him.

Today's PBA bowlers are grinding out a very meager living.  Face it, there is zero money in PBA bowling these days.  Maybe 1 or 2 get something out of it, the rest just go from stop to stop just wanting to bowl.  I'm sure it is not a glamorous life.  Players are driving together, rooming 2 or 4 to a hotel room, splitting expenses, etc.

Along comes Mookie among these guys.  He is coming off a year where he got paid $20 million, and the prior year in 2018 was paid $10 million. And now, he just agreed to a record $27 million contract with the Red Sox.  Being around him cannot be that easy for some of these guys.  He is probably staying at the finest hotels there is, travels by private jet to the site, etc.  Who knows, maybe they are just awe struck, and it doesn't matter.  But to a few, i'm sure it has to be difficult.

I'm hoping, and I'm sure Mookie acts and fits in as just one of the regular guys.  I'm sure he came from a humble background as well.

What do you think?

I think it's hard to be humble when you made 20 million in a year

Who is Mookie Bets?  Sounds like some kind of candy bar.

He should not have been given a commissioner's exemption.

what was the name of that ex MLB player that tried the senior tour
a few years ago? Think he made the step ladder once. Does he still
bowl in the PBA50? Think he played for San Francisco

You're thinking of John Burkett. He still competes on the PBA50.

I wanted to say that as well (Burkett winning a title), but wasn't quite sure.  It was a PBA regional.
