It's been so long, I don't remember how to upload a youtube video to your forum!
Yes, we will be in Detroit.  Does this video play?  This video is highlights from the Storm Youth tourney in Lincoln last weekend........Colby is still grinding it out and competing!!!

We were in Lincoln last week, and we arrive in Detroit Thursday evening July11.......this is how our summers go.

It would be fun to meet up!  Are you a golfer too?  My golf clubs always travel....... if any forum members want to play golf, lets talk.  Maybe we can make schedules work.  We plan arrive in Detroit Thursday evening 7-11 and will be around until the 20th.    I plan to play at least 3 times while we are in the area.  I would enjoy meeting up with any of you "Michiganders" for a beer, dinner or golf...... let me know what your are thinking and maybe we can make it happen.

Go Buckeyes! LOL...I want to meet you guys!...this should be fun!

Cool Buck. Glad you guys are still out there hitting it hard, and ultra glad to see Colby's continued success. He's starting to look like a young man.

My dad and I have bowling together for 15 years. We just got back from our annual trip to the USBC Open. Bowling has been great for us, and I'm sure its a great bond for you two as well. Keep at it.

Video came out great!  Will see what my schedule looks like when you are in town.  Unfortunately, I retired from golf years ago.....too frustrating of a game for me.

Hi Buckeye and all!

Wow! Colby has really grown and matured since I'd last seen him! He really throws it great!... He reminds me of Anthony Simonson. Congratulations Colby!

Thanks guys!  We are having a lot of fun traveling around and being "bowler parents"..LOL   I edited the scheduling post above to clean it up a bit.  If anyone wants to bowl or play golf, message me and maybe we can make it work. If you want to drop-in and watch a game or 2, sounds like fun too!  I know everyone is busy....  I'm just throwing it out there 'just in case' because it would be fun to meet some of the Detroit bowling crew.

First Bowling update!

We are at Imperial Lanes for the DV8 tourney, and the bowling center lost power during warmups.   According to Detroit Power & Light, this is widespread and it may be 3-4 hours before power is restored.   Are you kidding me??!!!  Crazy....and it's not weather related.  No big deal for us because we have nowhere we need to be later, but a lot of kids have other bowling commitments today and this will big a big problem for them.

I have my computer, so I'm passing time by watching some youtube.[rolleyes]

Time flies!  I hope you had a positive experience visiting the Detroit area.  Unfortunately, it came at a time when it was hard to do anything else other than help my friend who had breast cancer surgery on that Wednesday.  I would have loved to met up for bowling.  Hopefully, you made it over to Henry Ford Museum.  Do you recall what centers Colby bowled at?  Did his group just stick to one center?  Shame he started the tournament off so slow.  But finishing in the top 5% is something to be very proud of!

Colby bowled at a different house every day.......  he never bowled at Thunderbowl lanes though.  Because of the TV history, we wanted to bowl there.  If you read my earlier post in this thread, you'll see where he bowled each day.

Jr gold 2020.............VEGAS!!!!   Indy is out..... I approve of this message.  I am looking forward to going to Las Vegas next summer.  (golf clubs in tow)
