Here's the deal.  I bowl recreationally with a guy my age who had bladder cancer and now wears a bag, or uses adult underwear.  Like any other older person, sometimes he leaks a little and has a slight odor.  I've seen people talk behind his back and know one house barred him from the lanes.  I've been bowling with him going on 1 1/2 years and over all he is a good guy and former competitive bowler.

Since my main partner- in- bowls and I quit the Fort Knox league we are thinking to re join the Senior league where we open bowl.  Butch mentioned adding Steve to the team and I am all for it.  We would have to be sure Steve was fully committed and can afford the weekly dues, but beyond that it would be a good match.  I have and Butch has medical limitations but we give it our all.

How would you folks handle it if the league or individual bowlers started being pissy about him bowling?  Just curious.  For me common courtesy demands they keep their mouths shut and bowl, and I'd have a hard time not telling them to do just that.

Where are you planning on bowling at? Senior  Leagues should know some older people have health problems and over look it. One lg I use to bowl
in had a Sr that developed dementia or Alzheimer and became violent was asked to quit.

We would be bowling the daytime Senior league at Dixie.  I am known there and get along well with most of the folks there.  I get along well with the Carters.  However some of the Senior women from the organized open have been the ones being bitchy about the  slight odor.  I have told them if they have the issue it is up to them to address it.  He knows it and I believe he does the best he can to deal with it.

This man is in full possession of his mental faculties and is likely sharper than I am at times.

No, I never met the older man.  I hear he was an interesting character.  Overall the Carters seem to be a good family.  They have really put an effort into the lanes recently and I appreciate that.
