Another thing the approaches aren't one solid piece. About 2 foot from the foul line their
seamed together running all the way from lane 1 to 48. Don't know if this is wong but
I've never  seen it on any other lanes. I target off the foul line so it was annoying at first

Interesting comment.  When I started with macular degeneration my vision was so blurry I couldn't really tell which pins were left, and trying to target the arrows was too far away so I switched to targeting the foul line.  I have to trust I am not wandering and that my arm swing is consistent, but it works for me.

I have a hard time standing far left because I walk towards
my  target. My recent eye exam found mg in my left eye. So far
it hasn't effected my sight. Do you take any eye vitamins? My eye
Dr said they could slow it down.

My right eye started with an eruption on the retina near the center of the eye, and close enough to the optic nerve that they couldn't laser it to heal the "bubble" it created, so my central vision was like looking through the bottom of an old soda bottle.  When it was diagnosed I had bleeding in the retina so they started giving me shots in the eyeball every 6 to 8 weeks.  They finally got it under control and all I had to do was take my eye vites every day.  Three months ago it came back and I had a shot and they prescribed non steroidal anti inflammatory drops 4 times a day.  The distortion has lessened some and tomorrow at 9:30 I find out what the next step is.  I don't like the shots, but going blind in that eye isn't high on my list either.  Best advice I can offer is to find the best retinal specialist you can find and afford and do what they tell you.

The one time I bowled on synthetic approaches the seams were parallel with the lanes, and I've never seen approaches on TV that were like what you described.  If they put seams perpendicular to the lanes, then somebody screwed up.  I also target using the foul line when throwing straight up the boards, so it would undoubtedly screw me up as well.
