What exactly does the Differential number tell us ? Does a higher number like .058 indicate it will have a good strong backend ? Thanks

Not necessarily. It means the ball will potentially have more track flare depending on your release. This can result in a stronger move off the spot, but again depends on your release, and the lane condition.

The Differential aka:RG Differential Shows the difference between the low RG and the high RG and indicates the potential for track flare.
The lower the differential the closer together the track flare rings typically are. The higher the differential the further apart the track flare rings are.

Simple Differential scale (there are others):
Low Diff.-RG: .01 - .02 (low flare potential)
Med. Diff.-RG: .021 - .04 (med flare Potential)
High Diff.-RG: .041 - .08 (high flare potential)

A  Basic guide:
A lower RG ball with a low differential will produce an earlier rolling ball with a small arcing motion.
A lower RG ball with a high differential will produce an earlier rolling ball with a larger/stronger arcing motion.
A higher RG ball with a low differential will produce a later rolling ball with an angular backend motion.
A higher RG ball with a high differential will produce a later rolling ball with a strong, somewhat angular backend motion.

Keep in mind that core dynamics ( RG and Differential ) impact the shape of the hook and how soon it starts, but not t he overall amount of hook

I understand most of the numbers on a ball. I am wondering if the Black and Gold Black Widow will make a good skid snap ball ! I have always liked the Hybrids and currently use the Halo Vision and the Hammer Arson (yep, still going) but was leery of using another hybrid for skid snap ! The Halo is my Bench mark and the Arson next. I have a Blue Vibe for dry lanes and a Hot Cell for Burnt lanes. I am hoping the BW will fit between the Arson and Vibe. The skid snap for changing my angle of attack. The 2 oil balls are drilled with archy strong back ends. Let me know what you guys think before I drill this ! If it won’t work well, I will get a Halo Pearl or a Web Pearl
