He did, in the 1974 Cleveland Open. No one seems to have the footage. If you google 1983 cleveland open, they show a highlight of that shot at the top of the show, when looking back.

Don Johnson's always stands put as #1
He threw a great shot for the big cheese the T.O.C.and his display of disappointment is legendary. Another great individual. Petraglia had one a few years later great shot for a 9 count..

Actually, Petraglia shot 298 in Long Island in 1978. Absolutely tugged the final shot and left a 2-4.

I don't know what was worse, the final shot of the huge bell bottoms he wore with the skin tight shirt...LOL

They quoted Petraglia when McCordic was going for 300, and he said his mind went blank the pressure was so much.
