Apparently, she suffered from depression, and unfortunately, committed suicide.  Very sad, and our condolences go out to the Shafer family, and all of their friends.

It is a shame when people find that to be their only situation.  Condolences to Ryan.
Nothing at all on the PBA site about it.  That seems cold to me.

Good point. It's a delicate subject. It's not like Ryan himself passed or even a parent. The only reason we've heard about what happened is from social media. I'm sure they've sent condolences privately.

There is no shame in suffering from a thing like depression.  It just seem they should have acknowledged he passing.  This isn't 1940.   This country need to grow up.

Very sad. Those who commit suicide are the ones you would never expect it from.

I had a co-worker commit suicide back in May.
