Bowled with my team last night.  We lost the first game by 5 pins.  Lost the second by 2.  The third game I was determined to not lose, and get a split with other team by making up the 7 pins and more, to take one and total.  I bowled a 253, and we lost by one pin.  *&%^$(&  We lost all the points by 8 total pins.

Anyone else ever had that close a match?

Everyone has had nights like that.  The one I remember most was a really long time ago.  Last week of bowling we had a 3 point lead in a 4 point system.  All we had to do was tie a game to be champs.  We lost all 3 games and totals by 22 points.  Lost the league by one point.  Took a while to get over that one.

My problem, and it is mine, is that I try to make up for the entire team.  I am the anchor and watch the totals closely throughout the night, and try to compensate for the others having a bad night.  Last night was hugely frustrating.

My biggest problem is counting all the single pin misses my team(s) have had in the game when we lose. It frustrates me to no end. Usually, if you count them up, had your team made them all, you would have won.

Happened this morning. Both their first bowler and ours were on a
strike in the ninth. Their's throws a brooklyn for a double them gets
the next one, ours leaves a solid ten and misses it. I strike out from the
ninth and we lose by 11. A game of ifs
