I'm looking forward to this! Unlike the sweepers of the past WSOB events, somebody on tv may have bowled 30 games to get there!

Yes, and I thought it was outstanding. Lots of energy from the crowd and nice to see a few new faces on the show. I know they didn't bowl the long formats of yesteryear, but most of these guys have just come off of bowling 40 games of qualifying for the World Championship and most made matchplay -- so they are coming off of 56 games, and are exhausted.

Man, the Arena plays tough at Thunderbowl, and they all knew it!

Kyle Sherman showed incredible poise on the lanes for such a young kid. Just lost his carry the last game.

The Arena does play tough, but I don't need a 279-258 kind of match to enjoy to show. My oldest actually watched with me and I liked how I could show him how just a slight change in break point can mean the difference between shooting a 290 one game and then start ringing 10's the next. He really enjoyed the new technology they use now like the ball track.

Was it the Arena or the pattern?

Had to be the Arena. If memory serves me correctly isn't the Cheetah one of the easier patterns?

Cheetah is traditionally one of the easier patterns, but you can easily lose your look due to the amount of oil in the heads.

I would chalk it up to being the Arena, perhaps the dye in the oil plays a factor too.
