Absolutely.  I'm watching it right now.  The contract with Fox Sports looks pretty good.

Unwatchable -- and that is being generous.

By the time the circus reached an actual 10-frame match, I was more focused on wrapping Christmas presents.

What is wrong with the traditional format of four straight full and real games?  Why must pro bowling be dumbed down for Millennials with short attention spans?

If that is how Fox intends to cover bowling, cross me off the viewer list for future telecasts.

I enjoyed it.  I didn't see all the final match because I had to go to league, but what I saw was fine.  I prefer step-ladder formats, but not a bad change of pace.

After watching the show I have a question.  Where do they get their ball speed used on the broadcast?  I have been told that the pro's speed is at release.  Just wondered.  We got new scorers over the summer and many of the bowlers throw with speed equal to what I saw on the broadcast.  Our speed is at the pins and it is much slower.  Wondered if anyone knew for sure.

Watched a highlights clip of the telecast on YouTube.  As soon as I heard Rob Stone yell "HAMBONE" and saw it projected on the lane itself, I was done.  Randy as a broadcaster is hard to swallow, but pairing him with Rob Stone makes it unwatchable.

Point #1.....................

The guy that does the ladies shows, Ryan, is superior to Stone.

Point #2...................

Marshall, Norm or Nelson are light years better in the booth than......................will not even mention his name.

Point #3......................

Who is the idiot director that insisted on every shot be shown the same with no zoom. Those  scientific numbers do zero for me.

A horrible start for Fox.......................

Relax people. This was a one-time made for TV special. FOX needed an event to test out it systems and processes.

Rob Stone was even subdued in my opinion. I think the FOX contract may be a good thing.

I agree.  It will mean more events, including more live events, broadcast on network t.v. and cable.  This is the best coverage that the PBA has had in many years.

I think Rob will be fine.  He seems to have picked up some of the bowling lingo.  Randy is the one I don't care for.  If you can't stand the bowling show I think NBC has soccer on you can watch.  Ever listen to those idiots on yell on a soccer game?  And talk about boring.

Agreed. Also, one word about this new on screen ball/shot tracker: YUCK!!!

I suppose it's to demonstrate how much better the pros are than amateurs. Just like the colored oil sections on the lanes from past years, this new thing fails miserably to do just that. PBA/USBC still doesn't get it, so they'll continue to be ridiculous about oil patterns and lane maintenance, as they've been for decades now.
