4 nights of live bowling coming up from Detroit.  I'm sure the old time bowlers are rolling their eyes at what these tour titles are, basically a glorified sweeper!  But still, live bowling on TV is better than no bowling at all.  I just hope there is a wide variety of bowlers who make the telecasts, and not just Belmonte each evening.

I wonder how many local yokels will be competing?  I liked the split patterns.

The travel all star league was at Cherry Hill this past Thursday.  I haven't bowled this half because of work.  My teammate said Andrew Anderson bowled, shot 750ish, but missed a spare in the 10th of game 3, and his team lost the match, lol.

I'm sure there will be plenty of the yokels bowling this event.

Are you going to head down to watch some of the action?

Eddie Elias and Joe Antenora are rolling over in their graves. These sweepers counting as PBA tournaments, really? And to top it off, take the qualifying of three non-related tournaments and use that as qualifying for the PBA World championship, really? Not to mention just running 4 or more tournaments in the same location shuts out a lot of bowlers since we all have houses, no matter how hard we try, we just can't score in them no matter what lane patterns is used.

So sad to see what Tom Clark has done to the PBA. The only good thing he's ever done is get FOX (or did FOX approach the PBA first). He should be fired.

The question is whether bowlers on today's PBA tour can afford to travel from city to city every week for half of the year to bowl a tournament like they did "back in the day".  WIth how paltry prize funds are these days I bet next to none of them could afford the expense.  That's why they have a bunch of tournaments in one place.

Sad to see that PDW is a non factor in this event.  If you have watched video footage of him, you can tell he is a shadow of himself these days.
